At the peak of his bodybuilding career, Kai Geene fought Phil Heath
The rivalry between Heath and Greene began in 2012 when Greene finished second to Heath in the Mr. Olympia competition. The following year, Greene was once again the runner-up to Heath, but the two athletes began to engage in a public war of words. Greene accused Heath of being arrogant and disrespectful, while Heath fired back by calling Greene a sore loser and a drama queen.
The tension between the two athletes only continued to escalate in the years that followed. In 2014, Heath once again defeated Greene to win his fourth consecutive Mr. Olympia title, but the victory was marred by controversy. Greene was noticeably absent from the competition, leading to rumors that he had withdrawn due to a disagreement with the judges.
Despite the rumors, Greene returned to the Mr. Olympia stage in 2015, determined to unseat Heath as the champion.
The two athletes engaged in a heated back-and-forth both before and after the competition, with Greene accusing Heath of being a "fake" champion and Heath firing back by calling Greene a "crybaby."
In the end, Heath emerged victorious once again, claiming his fifth Mr. Olympia title. However, the rivalry between him and Greene continued to simmer beneath the surface, with both athletes continuing to take shots at each other in interviews and on social media.
Despite the negative aspects of their rivalry, it is undeniable that both Phil Heath and Kai Greene are among the greatest bodybuilders of their generation.
